On Sunday, August 20th in Laval, Quebec, WWE ran the WWE SuperShow live event out of Place Bell. Superstars from both RAW and Smackdown brands made appearances.
- Drew McIntyre WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens defeated Imperium. Sami Zayn picks up the win with a Helluva Kick.
- Becky Lynch defeats Trish Stratus & Zoey Stark. Originally slated as a one-on-one between Trish and Becky. Becky pins Zoey after being pushed into the exposed turnbuckle.
- WWE World Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley defeated Natalya. Rhea made a point mid-match to inform Byron Saxton that no one cared about his birthday.
- Cody Rhodes defeats Damien Priest. Cody refutes Rhea’s claim and encourages Laval to sing Happy Birthday to Byron – in English and then in French!
- The OC defeats Austin Theory, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Phenomenal Forearm to Theory for the win.
- WWE Women’s Champion IYO Sky defeats Asuka and Charlotte. Asuka takes a spear from Charlotte, but IYO dispatches Charlotte to pin Asuka.
- LAVAL STREET FIGHT (omg here?!) WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defeat Finn Balor. Damien Priest looked to assist, but the tag team champions make the save.
Additional kudos to Cody Rhodes and Natalya. WWE superstars are always kind to that front row in these live events, but both Cody and Nattie made sure to meet everyone they could in those seats, particularly the kids in attendance.
